Provincial Express Entry
In addition to federal programs, Canada also offers provincial nominee programs through express entry except Alberta, Nunavut and Quebec which manage their PNP programs separately.
Candidates can be nominated through express entry pool as well as through existing paper-based process, by a Province or Territory. An additional 600 points are given to candidates elevating the chances of them receiving the Invitation to Apply (ITA). Each Province or Territory, however, is allocated with a limited overall nomination space which affects a candidate’s chances to get selected.
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to enter and remain in the Express Entry Pool:
The Province/Territory minimum criteria and obtain a nomination; and
The Express Entry program requirements, which means you must also qualify under the CEC, FSW or FSTP programs.
