Brampton Immigration Consultancy

Welcome to Brampton Immigration Consultancy, your gateway to a successful immigration journey to Canada! Explore the possibilities of making Canada your home through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), an Express Entry Program stream designed for skilled foreign workers with previous work experience in Canada.

About Canadian Experience Class (CEC):

The Canadian Experience Class is a pathway for skilled workers who have accumulated at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada within the three years before submitting their application. This experience must be gained while living in Canada with temporary resident status and the authorization to work.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for the CEC, you must possess language skills in either English or French, covering all language abilities – reading, writing, speaking, and understanding. The one-year work experience requirement can be fulfilled through full-time work for 30 hours a week or equivalent part-time work. Working in multiple part-time or full-time positions is also acceptable.

Calculating Work Experience:

Count only paid skilled work experience, excluding volunteer work and unpaid internships. Part-time work should total 1560 hours, while full-time work exceeding 30 hours per week should not be considered.

Who Is Not Eligible:

Certain categories, such as refugee claimants, individuals working without authorization, and those with work experience in Canada but not under temporary resident status, are not eligible for the CEC.

While educational credentials are not mandatory, submitting certificates or diplomas from Canadian institutions can enhance your Express Entry profile. For education obtained outside Canada, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) is required.

Language Ability:

Language proficiency tests such as IELTS are necessary, with different score requirements for different skill types. The test results must be valid for two years from the date of issuance.

Choosing Your Location:

When selecting where to settle in Canada, ensure admissibility and choose a province other than Quebec, which has its selection process. If selected through a Provincial Nominee Program, you must settle in the nominated province or territory.

Document Requirements:

While not all documents are required initially, key documents include a valid passport, language proficiency test results, proof of education from a Canadian institution, and, if applicable, a Provincial Nomination.

PR Application Documents:

Upon receiving an Invitation To Apply (ITA), required documents include police certificates, funding proof, medical examination results, and relevant certificates based on marital and dependent status.

Express Entry Process:

To immigrate through Express Entry, submit your profile and, if eligible, enter the Express Entry pool. If selected, create an Express Entry Profile within 60 days.

What To Do While In The Pool:

Prepare necessary documents, ensure language test validity, and keep your profile up-to-date with any changes in employment, marital status, or other relevant information.

Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS):

The point-based CRS ranks applicants for permanent residency. High-ranking applications receive invitations to apply, and specific instructions are provided through the Express Entry system.

Responding to ITA:

Upon receiving an ITA, provide proof of the information in your Express Entry Profile for verification. Declining the ITA sends you back to the pool for future consideration.
